Waspada!!! 21 Gunung Api di Indonesia dalam Kondisi Tidak Normal

Jakarta - In Indonesia, many volcanoes found in active conditions. Based on Mitigation Center monitoring of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) EMR, there were 21 type-A volcano that its security status is not normal.

"Note there are 18 mountain we alert status, 2 and 1 standby alert status," said Head Volcano Observation Sub Division Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR) Agus Budianto in talks with AFP on Friday (28/10/2010).

18 Mount the alert status are:

1. Sinabung (Karo, North Sumatra)
2. Mount Talang (Solok, West Sumatra)
3. Mount Kaba (Bengkulu)
4. Mount Kerinci (Jambi)
5. Mount Anak Krakatau (Lampung)
6. Volcano (Garut, West Java)
7. Mount Slamet (Java)
8. Mount Bromo (East Java)
9. Mount Semeru (Lumajang, East Java)
10. Mount Batur (Bali)
11. Mount Rinjani (Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara)
12. Sangeang Gunung Api (Bima, NTB)
13. Mount Rokatenda (Flores, East Nusa Tenggara)
14. Mount Egon (Sikka, NTT)
15. Mount Soputan (South Minahasa, North Sulawesi)
16. Mount Lokon (Tomohon, North Sulawesi)
17. Mount Gamalama (Ternate, North Maluku)
18. Mount Dukono (North Halmahera, North Maluku)

While 2 Mount the standby berstaus are:

1. Mount Karangetang (North Sulawesi)
2. Mount Ibu (West Halmahera, North Maluku)

1 Mount bersatus alert the Mount Merapi in Sleman, Yogyakarta.

"There are 21 whose status alert to beware, of 68 volcano-type A which we monitor," said Agus.

Mount type A is a mountain that never bererupsi at least one time after the year 1600. While the mountain is a mountain type B after the 1600 eruption no longer experience. Mount Type C is volcanic eruption is not known in human history, or no record of eruptions.

"Here we convey to the public more vigilant, because the mountains were often climb, too often to the streets, many of the activities of its citizens. With this notification to be considered if there is a blast of heat," said Agus.

Status of level I or an active danger to normal means based on visual observations, seismicity and other volcanic phenomena showed no abnormalities. Level II or alert means there is increased activity in the form of abnormalities that appear visually or the results of the crater, seismicity and other volcanic phenomena.

At level III or standby, there was an increase in visual observation of the crater, seismicity and other metide support each other. While the level 4 or alert, initial eruption began to occur in the form of ash / smoke. This will be followed by main eruption. (Vit / asy)
